Wide Aware has planned tours (5 days 6 nights) to combine the Kanha and Pench
Tiger reserves on the 30th April, 4th May and 8th May 2007. You may also book tours to suit dates of your choice, if you are a group of 6 people or more.
The schedule is as follows:
Day 1 | Leave for Nagpur by overnight train |
Day 2 | Reach Nagpur in the morning and transfer to Pench. Arrive at Pench room allocation, and time for rest. Wildlife information and nature walk in the afternoon (depending on sightings information for the day) |
Day 3 | Early morning wildlife safari Back to the resort for breakfast Some rest time and lunch Afternoon safari Free time in the evening followed by dinner and sleep |

The cost for this package is Rs. 18,200/- from Mumbai to Mumbai for twin sharing air conditioned accommodation, with 3 tier AC travel from Mumbai to Nagpur and back, Air conditioned vehicles for the transfers from Nagpur station to the Wildlife resorts at Pench and Kanha and back, open jeeps for the safaris and luxurious meals.
For a simpler package and basic dormitory accommodation and simple food, the costs will be Rs.10,000/- The safaris will still happen in open jeeps, but the transfers form Nagpur to location and back will be in a normal non-air conditioned vehicle, and the train travel will be in regular sleeper class.
The last date for booking these tours is the 10th April 2007. Train bookings cannot be guaranteed, unless you make bookings well in advance, as they depend on the availability of seats.
A 10% discount is applicable to regulars here, who have provided articles and pictures of previous tours. Do contact, if you qualify.

- Entry fees for vehicles and participants into the sanctuary
- Forest guide
The package doesn't include:- Entry fees for cameras (which is charged per camera and varies quite a bit depending on what participants would like to take in)
- Elephant safari – If a tiger is spotted away from the motorable parts, it is sometimes possible to approach closer on elephant back. Such rides are dependant on the situation at the time of the sighting and are a personal choice, and have not been included in the basic quote.

Rules and regulations - Throwing litter is strictly prohibited
- Making a noise in the jungle, taking food into the jungle and stepping out of the vehicle in any area except the designated points will not be allowed
- Smoking and alcohol are not allowed inside the sanctuary, and this is non-negotiable. Any person found smoking inside the sanctuary or drinking or arriving drunk for the safari will be removed from the tour and no amount of his fees will be refunded.

We are students and this is very expensive for us, but our friends have done this tour with you and they liked it.
We can write articles for you and give pictures also. Can we get the 10% discount you mention?
I'm ok if you write articles and submit them, but their approval depends on their quality. What I can do, is refund 10% of the cost, if you provide usable articles within 1 month of your booking.
I am interested in the luxury tour package. Can you please send me some pitures of the accomodation and of the resort.
I have a 7 yr old child , what are the rates for her?

Hi H,
I cannot send you pictures of the accommodation, as you have not provided any point of contact to do so. Rest assured that the rooms are neat and clean.
For the luxury tour package, you can expect a discount of about Rs. 4,000 for your daughter. this is not a final amount, basically, every discount offered by the hotel and train tickets will be transferred to you. This discount might be greater if there are more adults accompanying the child. Please note that twin sharing does not mean you sharing a room with only her, as twin occupancy depends on the cost of the room being shared, and a child's charges will not cover it.
