instructions Important considerations when planning a programme with us

Establish a purpose for the programme. It may be better communication and teamworking skills for product managers, or creative and problem solving abilities for media developers, or better overall performance for teams under high target-related pressure, but it is crucial that you know what outcomes you expect from the programme.

Clear expected outcomes make for clear achieved outcomes at the end of the programme . You can also make a note of any other expectations in terms of adventure, location, luxury levels, wilderness or other content that you would like to include.

Make a list of the people you want attending it, and suitable dates so that they can attend.

Call us and explain your requirements as clearly as you can. Don't worry about any vague spots or if you seem to have a rather long list of desired or even unconventional outcomes. It's normal.

We can then meet and work out a programme for you.

We finalise a location, itinerary and a budget and we are all set.

Important points to remember

These are programmes designed for development. They are highly enjoyable by nature, simply because we remember best, what we enjoy. However, they must not be treated as holidays or adventure experiences alone, as this may cause them not to be taken with adequate ‘seriousness'.

Make sure that the participants are aware of this and encourage them to be interested in the process behind it rather than just expecting an enjoyable ‘perk'.

Consumption of intoxicants is discouraged due to the adventurous and learning based nature of the programmes. If the participants find it essential in order to to celebrate the time away from work, when they can actually sit together like that, it should ideally be discussed beforehand.

Please make the participants aware that we will not be allowing phone calls during activities or discussions. Participants co-ordinating work on phone may need to inform the people they are working with about it.

If the company is planning anything for the participants during the duration of the programme (forms, souvenirs, announcements, any other plans directly before or after the programmes, flight departure times where applicable….) we should be made aware of it.

We provide a set of guidelines for the participants with general (very reasonable) rules and packing instructions. This will need to be conveyed to them.
