The people behind WIDE AWARE - Adventures in India.

Vidyut and Raka - the founders of Wide Aware

Wide Aware is an outdoor adventure service provider in Mumbai. Our areas of operation include trekking, camping, Himalayan and wildlife tours and other adventure travel based programmes. Most of our clients are schools, corporates and individuals in search of adventure. Broadly speaking, experiential learning, adventure travel and off-beat vacations are a speciality of Wide Aware.

We also make digital films for a variety of purposes and design websites and interactive presentations.

Wide Aware was started in the year 2005, when Vidyut and Raka came together to combine their years of experience to offer the best of their experiences to people discovering the lure of the outdoors. We only offer the services we genuinely believe in as valuable offerings - if we wouldn't want to do something, we are unlikely to try to sell it to you.

Many a clients have come to us with expectations of some pre-formatted service, and had dreams sold to them, which their tours followed up on. We believe in the experience, rather than the statistics.

This area of our site contains the profiles of the many people that are behind what Wide Aware stands for. While Wide Aware has few outdoor employees, we have a large number of regular freelancers who are in tune with the comapny's rythm. We prefer it to be this way. We'd rather hire the people perfectly suitable for client requirements, than use people because they are on a payroll.
